One of the biggest, best and brightest emerging young comedians in the US, Boston's Shane Mauss, 'almost overnight went from struggling comic to Conan O'Brien' explains the Boston Globe.
Since moving to Boston to start his career in stand up in just 2004, Shane Mauss has clocked up three appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, as well as featuring on Comedy Central, Showtime and BBC's The World Stands Up.
Shane's big break came when he won Best Comedian at 2007's HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, joining the ranks of previous award winners like Tim Minchin & Kristen Schaal from Flight of the Conchords.
Shane has also been finalist at The Great American Comedy Festival, Boston International Comedy Festival and The Las Vegas Comedy Festival.
Comedian Paul Provenza, who directed the 2005 documentary The Aristocrats has called Shane onne of a new breed of stand-ups, saying he has 'so much skill and craft. Very smart stuff.'
Direct from the invite only Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival in Ireland where Shane joined the Festivalâ€™s invite only alumni that has included Bill Murray & The Office co creator Stephen Merchant amongst many others.
