Fresh from a Kiwi beach as the winner of New Zealand’s Celebrity Treasure Island and catapulted to cult reality TV household name status, award-winning NZ comedian CHRIS PARKER is coming to Sydney for the 2022 comedy festival season with his new live show, Gentle Man.

Chris Parker is a true gentleman. That is, his pronouns are he/him, and he has very soft and supple skin.

A rising star across the ditch, Chris has been seen on 7 Days, and the NZ edition of Have You Been Paying Attention?!. Parker also succeeded in making a name for himself on Instagram during 2021, turning lockdowns into Insta story comedy gold, amassing over 87,000 followers in the process.

Now that the pandemic is officially over*, Chris is throwing his phone straight into the Tasman sea and getting back to what he does best: showing off in front of people in a room for an hour straight.

Parker started his career in comedy as an early member of hugely popular Auckland improv group Snort which ultimately launched Chris' career in comedy and theatre.

His first solo show No More Dancing in the Good Room won Chris Best Newcomer at the 2015 NZ International Comedy Festival. His 2018 NZ International Comedy Festival show Camp Binch won the Fred Award for Best Show, and subsequently earned him 5-star reviews and sold out shows at the coveted Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

When not on stage, Parker is an accomplished television comedy writer with numerous credits including NZ TV Funny Girls (in which he also performed), Jono and Ben, and NZ original sitcom Golden Boy.

Gentle Man is the very best of Chris Parker - it's “Now That's What I Call Chris Parker Vol 1”.

Don’t miss it.

*written in advance with the hope the pandemic is over by now, but probably isn't.

“An invigorating and charming hour, admirably unpretentious and consistantly very, very funny.” - The Skinny Edinburgh *****
